National Account Manager At 3M

Location: Milton, Ontario

Job Description:

3M is seeking a National Account Manager for the Walmart account to join our Consumer Business Group, covering the GTA. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of our Walmart business across several product categories.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Meet and exceed sales territory forecasts
  • Collaboratively work with all internal stakeholders (including numerous marketing teams, planners, shopper marketer) in order to plan, present and flawlessly execute on growth opportunities, line reviews, joint business planning discussions and new products
  • Develop and manage opportunity pipeline in Salesforce and drive success through execution of high impact activities
  • Successfully provide category management consultation and adapt to highly competitive situations
  • Create a strong fact-based selling story for our brands using analytics, marketing information, industry and customer knowledge
  • Manage and resolve aspects beyond selling (payable issues, inventory and service requirements, etc.)

Basic Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education
  • Experience as a National Account Manager in the CPG space
  • Proven track record of exceeding forecast and KPI’s
  • Extremely strong analytical skills, excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, planning and time management skills
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Understanding of the CPG/retail market and business practices
  • High flexibility and strong initiative
  • Demonstrated Strategic thinking

Preferred Qualifications:

  • University degree
  • Experience as a National Account Manager, selling to key accounts that include Walmart
  • Thorough understanding of Walmart retail link, culture, and processes

Travel: In this role, you will be required to travel approximately 10% of the time, which may involve overnight stays. A valid driver’s license is required.
