Our client is looking for two design researchers: one to focus on its website and the other on the intranet and analytics. They should be able to create and implement user experience research in an ethical way, build low and high-fidelity wireframes, present findings concisely through visuals and in writing, and build out the Agency's Google Analytics expertise. The purpose is to create measurably better experiences that meet the public's and employees' diverse needs in an equitable and dignified way.
Their website relaunched in October 2017 with an emphasis on information as a service. The site is transitioning to increased service delivery with a more robust commitment to accessibility and usability. A full-time design researcher is temporarily needed to fulfill the vision of helping any San Franciscan use this governmental agency's website for onboarding and maintaining social services. This Design Researcher will work closely with the Communications and Digital Service teams to prioritize and meet the public's needs through the website. This position is for 12 months, full-time, eight hours a day, Monday-Friday for 40 hours/week and will fulfill a spike in work as we build out the next phase of the website.
The Agency has also been rebuilding its intranet with existing, full-time, eight hours a day, Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week contractual support. This expertise is needed for another 12 month spike in work to focus on helping administrative divisions (HR, IT, Contracts, etc.) better support employees accomplish their work through Service Now (SN). The Agency is focusing on more advanced SN features and will be working closely with this design researcher in order to meet user needs. This Design Researcher does not need Service Now expertise, but does need to partner with the Digital Services team to optimize how employees experience it. This person will also work with the Communications team to advance a greater sense of collaboration and community through the intranet.
